Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented NDT Technician (Level II or Level III) specializing in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to support aerospace and industrial testing operations in the Hartford laboratory.

This role performs inspections per ASTM, NAS, and customer requirements, interprets indications, sets up MPI equipment, and ensures Nadcap compliance, traceability, and safety.

Qualifications

• Certification in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).
• Level II or Level III per NAS 410 and/or SNT-TC-1A.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with Nadcap requirements.
• Experience in aerospace inspection environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MPI inspections on aerospace and industrial components per procedures and specifications.
• Interpret indications to determine part acceptability.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate MPI equipment (bench units).
• Ensure compliance with Nadcap, customer, and internal quality requirements.
• Document inspection results with traceability of records.
