Job summary

LaRiviere, Inc. is seeking a skilled Motor Grader Operator/Superintendent for its North Idaho team. The role involves operating the motor grader and supervising equipment to complete highway and site construction tasks safely and efficiently.

You will work on projects in the Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington region, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. The candidate should have 3–5 years’ experience, strong grading knowledge, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Motor Grader Operator experience on highways, roads, and residential projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Familiar with grading and subgrade shaping and fine grading for horizontal surfaces.
• Experience with automatic grade control systems.
• Ability to make decisions based on verifiable standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader to grade surfaces, shoulders, slopes, and base materials to fine-grade specs.
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance; keep equipment clean and serviced.
• Operate equipment to mix materials, level dirt, and dress shoulders and slopes.
• Use automatic grade control systems and manual grading to meet grade specifications.
• Maintain production levels, schedule tasks, and meet timelines and quantities.
• Monitor work quality against project specs and standards; address rework as needed.
• Enforce on-site safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues during execution.
• Perform other duties as assigned; operate related heavy equipment as a bonus.
