Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Senior Motor Carrier Freight Planner to lead freight-planning teams and coordinate with carriers, drivers, operations, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and cost efficiency.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, negotiation skills, and advanced knowledge of motor carrier operations. Base salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of the motor carrier industry and rules/regulations.
• Understanding of commodity movement rules and container transportation.
• Proficient with standard software and transportation software.
• Strong communication, math, analytical, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead motor carrier freight planners and supervise/training for ~10% of weekly hours.
• Monitor freight planners’ load boards and resolve capacity and service issues.
• Develop motor carrier freight plans and assign carriers/drivers for timely delivery.
• Create rate solutions to optimize truck capacity and minimize costs.
• Coordinate scheduling of loads, pickups, and deliveries with ops, accounting, and customers.
• Prepare export documents and motor carrier paperwork as required.
• Analyze and report on transportation performance and issues.
