Job summary

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of similar or related experience.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent certification or training.
• Experience in mortgage loan underwriting and risk evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite HELOCs and mortgage loans evaluating risk factors such as debt ratio, CLTV, credit scores and property value.
• Ensure HMDA data accuracy and regulatory compliance across systems.
• Analyze credit reports, income, employment and liabilities for borrowers.
• Review appraisals to verify collateral acceptability.
• Communicate loan conditions and alternatives; escalate when needed.
• Support team with complex inquiries and process improvements.
• Assist in training and knowledge transfer within Mortgage Underwriting.
