Job summary

AmeriHome Mortgage is seeking an experienced Underwriter IV to assess Government and Conventional loan files, ensuring compliance with investor standards. You will review credit, capacity and collateral and clear underwriting conditions across Delegated, Non-Delegated and Retail channels.

You will manage a daily pipeline, identify document deficiencies, and liaise with customers to obtain required information, while applying overlays and current guidelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in residential mortgage underwriting or similar field.
• Advanced knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and USDA guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• DE or SAR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily underwriting reviews, appraisal reviews and conditions within defined turn times.
• Identify deficiencies, request additional information and update customers on conditions.
• Assist others in interpreting guidelines and updating underwriting status and conditions.
• Underwrite loans across all channels (Delegated, Non-Delegated, Retail).
