Job summary

Kind Lending, located in Irvine, CA, seeks an experienced Senior Technical Accountant to handle life-of-loan accounting, journal entries, and month-end close with a GAAP focus. You will support mortgage loan accounting and servicing while analyzing reconciliations and preparing entries for trading securities and MSRs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 7 years in mortgage accounting, with advanced Excel and Dynamics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 7+ years of mortgage accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage accounting, financial controls, and GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Dynamics and LOS applications.

Responsibilities

• Record fair value entries for IRLCs, LHFS, and MSRs.
• Reconcile multiple systems to the general ledger and resolve variances daily.
• Design, test and implement automated accounting processes to improve close.
