Job summary

First American seeks a detail-oriented analyst to support mortgage servicing Year End and regulatory reporting. You will analyze processes, validate data, and reconcile complex datasets to ensure accuracy and compliance across IRS reporting and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 4–8 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently under strict deadlines while coordinating with technology, compliance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS degree or equivalent
• Typically requires 4-8 years of directly related experience
• Mortgage servicing experience with direct exposure to Year End, IRS information reporting, or comparable regulated reporting processes strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts business process evaluations to identify requirements, process gaps, reporting risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support mortgage servicing Year End and regulatory reporting, including IRS Forms 1098 and 1099, statement reporting, corrections, reconciliations, and related compliance activities.
• Support IRIS compliant Year End reporting processing and data validation.
• Perform complex analysis and cross-platform reconciliation to validate reporting accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Investigate reporting discrepancies and provide root cause analyses with corrective actions.
