Job summary

First American seeks a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst for ServiceMac to translate mortgage regulatory data into clear, executable reporting requirements. You will bridge Regulatory/Risk, servicing operations, clients, and report development teams to ensure accurate, validated reporting that meets regulatory standards.

Applicants should have mortgage servicing experience, strong SQL and Excel skills, and a proven ability to own regulatory requests from intake through final delivery while

Qualifications

• Mortgage servicing experience required.
• Experience with regulatory reporting within mortgage servicing or mortgage banking.
• Ability to read and write SQL queries for data validation.
• Strong requirements documentation and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review regulatory data and reporting requests to identify data, periods, populations, calculations, classifications, and submissions.
• Translate regulatory requirements into specific data and reporting requirements for development.
• Identify incomplete or conflicting requirements before development.
• Document detailed requirements for SQL report developers including data elements and rules.
• Maintain traceability from regulatory request to final output.
• Perform substantive quality review of reports and data extracts before delivery.
• Validate report results against requirements and underlying requests.
• Develop reconciliations and validation procedures.
• Use SQL, Excel, and source data to investigate results and validate assumptions.
• Coordinate remediation of issues with development teams and stakeholders.
