Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Mortgage QC Analyst to re-underwrite and review underwriting decisions for the monthly QC selection, ensuring mortgage products meet guidelines. You will assess appraisal soundness, review legal documents, and verify input of conditions, alternating between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews.

The role requires 7+ years underwriting experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

7+ years underwriting experience with in-depth knowledge of manual underwriting guidelines.
Advanced knowledge and experience of complex underwriting for high/ultra-high net worth borrowers.
Sound knowledge of consumer mortgage lending process and post-closing workflow.
Familiarity with secondary & private investor loan programs.
Strong oral and written communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and database applications.
Experience with ACES, Empower and/or Encompass is a plus.
Ability to manage change and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Re-underwrite and review monthly QC selections to ensure guidelines are met.
Evaluate how conditions were input and whether conditions are satisfied.
Review appraisals for soundness and determine if a review appraisal is warranted.
Review legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in targeted assurance reviews and other credit/quality control duties.
Alternate between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews to cover processes.
