Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior Mortgage Underwriter for the Private Bank Home Lending QC team to ensure compliance with credit policy, guidelines and regulations, re-underwrite monthly QC loan selections, and verify accurate input of conditions. The role alternates between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews, with emphasis on accuracy, productivity, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

7+ years underwriting experience with in-depth knowledge of manual underwriting guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of complex underwriting for high-net-worth borrowers.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications.
Experience with ACES, Empower and/or Encompass is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Re-underwrite and review all underwriting decisions for QC selections.
Ensure loan conditions are input correctly and conditions are satisfied.
Review appraisals for soundness and determine if review appraisal is warranted.
Assist in periodic targeted assurance reviews and related quality control duties.
Alternate between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews.
