Job summary

Merchants Bank of Indiana is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Analyst to support secondary marketing processes, pricing for conventional, government and Jumbo products, and mortgage investor relations. You will collaborate with hedge advisors, maintain pricing models, and ensure accuracy of pricing for origination and sale of mortgage loans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MBA/CPA/CFA is desired.
• At least 2 years of secondary marketing or capital markets experience preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of mortgage banking processes and risk/reward relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of mortgage pricing and hedging strategies.
• Collaborate with hedge advisor firm on interest rate risk management.
• Maintain mortgage pricing model and daily rate sheet distribution.
• Perform best execution analysis and loan sales to investors.
• Manage relationships with secondary market investors and evaluate new ones.
• Track trade positions, margins, and settlements with brokers.
• Respond to inquiries regarding lock and pricing policies.
• Assist in profitability reports and capital markets reporting for senior management.
• Produce ad hoc analytics and special assignments for management.
