Job summary

Merchants Bank IN seeks a Senior Capital Markets Analyst to support daily Secondary Marketing tasks, price for conventional, government and Jumbo products, and manage commitments to investors. The role requires collaboration with operations, servicing, and post-closing to ensure accurate pricing for origination and sale of mortgage loans.

The ideal candidate will be the SME on pricing strategies, communicate with clients and partners, and deliver analytics with high accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA/CPA/CFA desired.
• At least 2 years of secondary marketing or capital markets experience preferred.
• Fundamental mortgage banking knowledge including key processes and risk/reward relationships.
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and implementation of pricing and hedging strategies for mortgage channels.
• Collaborate with hedge advisor to manage interest rate risk of pipeline.
• Maintain mortgage pricing models and daily rate sheet distribution.
• Perform best execution analysis and loan sales to investors.
• Manage relationships with secondary market investors and evaluate new ones.
• Track trade positions, margins, and settlements with counterparties.
• Respond to inquiries from loan officers regarding lock and pricing policies.
• Assist with profitability reporting and capital markets analytics.
