Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to handle conventional, FHA, VA and Bond loan files. You will underwrite readiness, monitor processing cycles and coordinate between loan officers, borrowers and underwriting to ensure timely closings.

The role requires expert knowledge of mortgage guidelines, strong communication and meticulous document review. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in processing and a proven ability to manage multiple files under regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in Business/Finance/Legal preferred.
• Total 5+ years experience as a Loan Processor, with conventional and FHA loans; 2+ years VA/Bond processing preferred.
• Ability to build strong relationships with loan officers, production, underwriting and closing teams.
• Expert knowledge of mortgage lending processes, guidelines, and investor requirements for conventional, FHA, VA and Bond loans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the contact for non-licensed activity after submission.
• Monitor lending process to ensure timely loan closure.
• Analyze LTV, DTI, credit and income/documents to identify issues.
• Order and review third-party docs (credit, title, appraisals, tax returns).
• Stay current with federal/state regulations and guidelines.
• Provide status updates to loan officers and borrowers.
• Coach less experienced processors as needed.
