Bluestone Bank, a trusted community bank in Massachusetts, seeks an experienced Loan Officer to solicit, negotiate, and preliminarily qualify residential mortgages and lending products. You will develop customer relationships, cross-sell banking services, and contribute to sales goals.

The role emphasizes compliance with bank policies, regulatory standards, and active participation in local real estate networks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
Minimum three years’ experience as a currently NMLS-licensed or federally registered residential loan officer.
Good sales, organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills.
Good oral and written communication skills to discuss loan programs with customers and real estate agents.
Ability to read and comprehend training materials and bank policies.

Responsibilities

Interview loan applicants and assess financial information to determine best loan options.
Explain underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements to borrowers.
Pre-qualify loan requests and complete loan applications.
Monitor progress of loan applications through closing and communicate with customers and real estate professionals.
Promote bank lending programs and participate in community events to generates referrals.
Maintain relationships with branches and agents to ensure timely loan referrals.
