Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in residential mortgage lending/mortgage banking.
• Proven success originating and growing mortgage business.
• Previous leadership experience within a bank or mortgage lending organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the bank's mortgage lending function.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow mortgage production and market presence.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop mortgage lending professionals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, referral partners, real estate professionals, builders, and other centers of influence.
• Establish and monitor production goals, pipeline activity, profitability, and overall performance.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for continued growth and expansion.
• Evaluate existing processes and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and scalability.
• Maintain a strong understanding of residential mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, secondary market considerations, and industry trends.
• Ensure mortgage activities remain compliant with applicable federal and state regulations and internal banking policies.
• Work collaboratively across lending, operations, credit, compliance, and executive leadership.
• Serve as a visible representative of the bank within the local business and real estate communities.
