Job summary

Opendoor seeks a Compliance Manager to oversee mortgage compliance and regulatory efforts. The role requires expert-level NMLS licensing knowledge for entities and individuals, including license applications, amendments, renewals, and surety bond management.

Experience with HMDA LAR, NMLS MCR, and state reports is essential, along with CMS administration and handling CFPB examinations. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field, with CRCM/CAMS preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mortgage compliance experience at a non-bank lender, mortgage company, or state/federal regulatory agency.
• Expert-level knowledge of multi-state NMLS licensing for entities and individuals; title and escrow licensing is strongly preferred
• Experience preparing regulatory filings (HMDA LAR, NMLS MCR, state reports)
• Experience administering a Compliance Management System (policy, training, complaints)
• Track record managing state and federal regulatory examinations (CFPB)
• Knowledge of BSA/AML compliance; ability to serve as AML Officer if required
• Experience implementing regulatory changes affecting mortgage origination operations
• Ability to resolve loan-level compliance issues in a fast-paced origination environment
• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field; CRCM/CAMS preferred
