Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in mortgage lending.
• Residential mortgage experience required.
• 1+ year sales/credit/finance experience.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience preferred.
• The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing.
• Proven product sales capability.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws including RESPA.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situation and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze information on finances, goals, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history.
• Analyze financial information to assess loan eligibility and suitability.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions to meet objectives.
• Advise customers on consequences, risks, and benefits of options.
• Promote Citi's lending services to real estate agents and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations, Processors, and Underwriters to close loans.
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, etc.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
