Job summary

Caris Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Reagent QC Specialist - Molecular to lead QC of incoming reagents in the Molecular lab, ensuring compliance with CLIA, NYS, CAP, FDA and ISO standards.

You will perform advanced QC testing (NGS, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR), review lot numbers and documentation, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in reagent QC workflows while collaborating with Supply Chain and Lab Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field is required.
• 3-4 years’ experience in a regulated laboratory environment (CLIA, NYS, CAP, FDA, ISO, etc.) is required.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures for biohazards and chemicals, as well as quality control procedures and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with GDP and good documentation practices (GDP).
• Root Cause Analysis methods familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC testing for incoming reagents and materials according to procedures.
• Maintain expert-level compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, NYS, CAP, FDA, ISO, etc.).
• Review and verify reagent information, lot numbers, expiration dates, and documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reagent QC workflows and documentation.
