Job summary

GRAIL is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist VI to support advanced molecular diagnostics in our Durham, NC on-site laboratory on the 2nd shift (Wed through Sat, 1:30 pm – 12:00 am). The role includes performing highly advanced testing, instrument maintenance, data review, and documentation to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance within CLIA/CAP frameworks.

Individuals must meet MLS qualifications, have ASCP certification preferred, and be prepared for weekend/on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in MLS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 1+ years experience in high-complexity molecular diagnostics or equivalent.
• Advanced ASCP or specialist certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, ISO 15189 and related regulatory standards.
• Experience in regulated clinical study environments and medical device contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly advanced laboratory testing procedures in alignment with study protocols and quality requirements.
• Prepare and handle complex samples and reagents with meticulous labeling and tracking.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments with routine checks and troubleshooting.
• Record, review, and verify test data with strict data integrity standards.
• Ensure quality control and document deviations; support timeline-driven study activities.
