Job summary

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Senior Production Lead – 1st Shift for the Byron Center plant. You will direct production personnel, operate Lamination Department equipment, and ensure orders meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reporting department metrics, data collection in PeopleSoft (ERP), and maximizing yield while reducing scrap. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; prior supervisory experience is valued in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Able to perform basic math and use simple hand-held measuring tools.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Report department metrics.
• Understand manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and procedures.
• Direct production personnel to meet production schedules while following safety and quality standards.
• Lead a small team, work independently, and report issues to the supervisor.
• Operate and set up equipment in the Lamination Department.
• Collect data in PeopleSoft (ERP).
• Maximize yield and reduce scrap.
• Verify order information and produce parts within quality tolerances and productivity targets.
