Job summary

Quest Industries, Inc. is seeking a Mold Maker to build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify plastic injection molds to ensure reliable production.

The role requires strong machining skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and CAD models in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will work independently, manage priorities, and uphold high-quality standards while contributing to a clean, climate-controlled facility and team-oriented

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, repairing, modifying, and maintaining plastic injection molds.
• Strong knowledge of mold construction, tooling components, and injection molding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models.
• Proficiency with precision machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM, as applicable.
• Skilled in precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
• Experience fitting, assembling, troubleshooting, and spotting molds.
• Strong critical thinking skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, repair, and modify plastic injection molds and mold components.
• Troubleshoot mold issues and perform preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Perform precision fitting, polishing, spotting, and bench work on mold components.
• Measure and inspect components using precision measuring instruments.
• Identify mold wear, damage, and potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with engineering, machining, and production personnel to resolve mold-related problems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow established quality procedures and workplace safety requirements.
