Job summary

Meritec in Painesville, Ohio is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to design, machine, assemble and finish molds for plastic product injection. You will read blueprints, lay out, measure, and verify dimensions to ensure high quality mold components.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in tool and die work, strong machining skills, and the ability to interpret drawings and safety rules. This hands-on role offers growth in a collaborative, manufacturing environment at Meritec.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of tool and die making experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and machining drawings.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints of product and die or mold for specification calculations.
• Plan sequence of operations, visualizing die or mold shape in reverse of the product.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Grind parts to fit and finish cavities.
• Assemble die or mold; verify dimensions.
• Repair molds as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
