Job summary

Camgian is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead integration of modeling and simulation across its product development lifecycle, translating mission needs into system architectures, requirements, interfaces, verification approaches, and model-based engineering artifacts.

The successful candidate will bring substantial modeling and simulation experience, including physics-based models, synthetic environments, and simulation-based test and evaluation, working with software, AI/ML, and

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as systems, aerospace, electrical, CS or math.
• 10–15 years in Systems Engineering for software-intensive or defense programs.
• Experience creating architectures, interfaces, verification plans, MBSE approaches.
• Hands-on MBSE with Cameo, IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx EA.
• SysML/UML used to connect MBSE artifacts to development and verification.
• Experience building or validating modeling and simulation for defense/aerospace.
• Modeling air targets, engagement geometry, sensor/weapon behavior, mission effects.
• Experience with air/missile threats: UAS, aircraft, cruise/ballistic missiles.
• Experience with distributed simulation (LVC, DIS/HLA).
• Familiar with DIS/HLA standards; able to work with software, C2, sensors, AI/ML.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering for modeling and simulation capabilities linked to mission requirements.
• Develop MBSE artifacts connecting concepts, architecture, interfaces, behavior, and verification.
• Define integration across lifecycle from component/AI model eval to system integration.
• Develop or oversee physics-based models of BLUE/RED forces and threats.
• Design synthetic environments and scalable LVC/distributed simulations.
• Establish interoperability using DIS/HLA and integrate with software, C2, sensors, and AI/ML.
• Plan and execute model verification, validation, accreditation support, and sensitivity analysis.
• Use simulations to quantify risks, inform trade studies, and propose mitigations.
• Coordinate across SE, software, AI/ML, test, product, and program stakeholders.
• Guide simulation architecture, fidelity, complexity, instrumentation, and data collection.
