Job summary
KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Software Engineer to advance secure modeling, simulation, and platform development in cloud environments. You will lead admin and platform services, including user management, licensing, usage tracking, and onboarding in a secure, cloud-based setting.
You will deliver high‑performance C++ software, drive DevSecOps pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to meet mission requirements and ensure compliance across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Active Secret clearance with Top Secret eligibility required.
- 5+ years of Modeling & Simulation development experience required.
- Strong proficiency in C++ development required.
- Demonstrated experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines required.
- Hands-on DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery required.
- Experience managing artifacts using Artifactory required.
- Cross-platform development experience (Linux & Windows) required.
- Experience developing in RHEL environments required.
- MATLAB experience for modeling or simulation development is required.
- Proven ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills required.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of modeling and simulation software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
- Design and implement DevSecOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- Develop and maintain software systems in C++ for high-performance applications.
- Build and manage artifact pipelines using Artifactory.
- Develop and support cross-platform applications (Linux and Windows).
- Perform development and optimization within RHEL-based systems.
- Contribute to secure system design, implementation, and compliance practices.
- Integrate simulation tools and services into larger platform architectures.
- Support system integration, testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission requirements.
- Maintain documentation and enforce best practices across development lifecycles.
