Job summary

KBR’s Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead architecture, development, implementation and optimization of software for a new Modeling and Simulation Lab. You will integrate new tech with existing systems and ensure APIs and interoperability across devices, databases, and services.

You will interface with Government customers, demonstrate software capabilities, and collaborate with in-house and GOTS teams.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related STEM with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 5+ years.
Experience with Agile methods, SCRUM boards, Jira.
Experience integrating COTS/GOTS products and APIs interoperability.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
Relocation to Huntsville area if needed.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, development, and optimization of software for Modeling and Simulation Lab.
Research technology insertions and ensure interoperability between devices, databases, and services.
Collaborate with government customers and internal developers; conduct regular software demonstrations.
Travel up to 15% for meetings and test events; on-site work as required.
