Aether Aerospace is seeking a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer to lead MACE scenario development, model configuration, and simulation execution for an ops analysis study supporting a defense customer. You will translate the approved plan into executable simulations, establish baseline cases, and provide documented outputs for analysts in a collaborative team.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, active security clearance, and hands-on modeling expertise with MACE.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, OR, applied mathematics, physics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience developing, configuring, executing, and troubleshooting MACE scenarios.
• Experience leading technical modeling work or as principal model developer.
• Knowledge of military mission modeling and interactions.
• Ability to verify simulation behavior and assess model capabilities.
• Ability to run controlled comparisons, repeated runs, and sensitivity studies.
• Experience configuring MACE output collection for analysis teams.
• Ability to explain simulation behavior and limitations.
• Strong technical writing, briefing, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet access and data-handling requirements.

Aufgaben

• Lead MACE scenario development, configuration, execution, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Translate operational vignettes into executable scenarios with defined objectives and conditions.
• Establish baseline configurations and controlled comparison cases.
• Configure representations for platform, sensor, threat, and EW elements.
• Assess model limitations, data gaps, and needs for support.
• Develop verification checks for initialization, behavior, and outputs.
• Run repeated and sensitivity cases and document variation and limits.
• Configure logging and outputs to capture required measures.
• Maintain configuration identifiers and execution records.
• Investigate failed runs and preserve traceability between executions.
• Provide complete simulation outputs to analysts for data reduction and interpretation.
• Support analysts by explaining model behavior and assumptions.
• Contribute modeling content to study plans, reviews, and reports.
• Coordinate issues with software vendors and modeling specialists as needed.
• Follow data-handling, license, export-control, and release requirements.
• Explain simulation behavior and distinguish events, assumptions, and limits.
