Job summary

LER TechForce seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to shape automotive MBSE for hybrid powertrain architectures. You will translate customer needs into robust system and sub-system requirements, and decompose complex contexts for engine and powertrain solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in MBSE, SysML proficiency, and experience with engine aftertreatment systems. Collaboration across teams and strong communication are essential to succeed in this technically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in a model-based systems engineering role.
• Proficiency with SysML.
• Windchill RV&S or PTC Integrity experience preferred.
• Experience with engine aftertreatment systems.
• Experience with diesel, gas, CNG, or hydrogen engines.
• MBSE and SysML expertise.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Humble, teachable, and a collaborative team player.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and translate Voice of the Customer into system and sub-system requirements.
• Decompose from system to sub-system and verify correctness.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
• Capture system context for how features work.
• Lead discussions on new technologies and risk mitigation plans.
• Review and create system requirements for engine, EV, and related products.
• Apply state-of-the-art systems engineering methodologies.

What you will be doing:

• Requirements capture
• Voice of the Customer translation of the system and then sub-system component requirements
• Decompsition from system to sub-system and making sure they are correct
• Collaborating peer to peer
• Capturing the system context on how features work
• Facilitate discussions regarding new technologies and risk mitigation plan.
• Reviewing and creating system requirements for engine, EV, aftertreatment systems, and other related products
• Apply state of the art systems engineering methodology

What you'll need to be successful:

• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
• 5 years plus years of experience in model based systems engineering role
• Proficiency with SysML
• Windchill RV&S/PTC Integrity experience preferred
• Experience with engine aftertreatment systems
• Experience with engine (diesel, gas, CNG, or hydrogen)
• Experience with MBSE and SysML
• MS office suite solid knowledge is required.
• Humble, and teachable
• Effective and collaborative team player
• Good communicator - written and verbal
