Job summary

KPIT in United States is seeking an AUTOSAR Application with Model Based Software Developer to oversee design, implementation, and validation of embedded features using MATLAB/Simulink and MISRA-compliant C/C++. You will drive model-to-code workflows, code generation, and verification across MIL/SIL/PIL, while mentoring junior developers and ensuring ISO 26262/ASPICE compliance.

This role requires hands-on expertise in MB Design, Autosar interfaces, and toolchains, with strong collaboration

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of hands-on MB Development using Statemate, Simulink, State flow, Embedded Coder, or Target Link
• 1–2+ years leading development projects or small teams, planning activities and setting priorities
• Experience coordinating external resources and cross-functional teams in a lead role
• MB Design: building high fidelity Simulink/Stateflow models and mapping to Autosar SWC interfaces
• Autosar: deep knowledge of Classic & Adaptive platforms and SWC/RTE concepts
• Code Generation: experience configuring model-to-code toolchains to produce MISRA-compliant C/C++
• Embedded Software: proficiency in embedded C/C++ with real-time constraints
• Software verification: Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, Processor-in-the-Loop testing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Autosar Software Components (ASWC).
• Configure model-to-code toolchains to generate MISRA-compliant C/C++ from Simulink/Stateflow.
• Analyze and fix software bugs across models, generate code, and manage integration layers.
• Improve algorithms and generated code for performance and memory efficiency.
• Ensure ISO 26262 and ASPICE compliance with traceability of requirements.
• Write and maintain technical docs for models, interfaces, and architecture.
• Plan and execute HIL, SIL, and PIL testing to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with architects to translate requirements into modular model architectures.
• Create CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts for builds, code generation, testing, and delivery.
• Mentor juniors; conduct technical reviews of models and generated code.
• Interface with validation teams to close gaps and lead debugging sessions with integration teams.
• Define development plans, roadmaps, and KPIs; report progress and quality metrics.
• Contribute to best practices for MB development and Autosar integration.
• Oversee outsourced activities and provide technical/managerial oversight.
• Explore AI/GenAI tools to accelerate development and automate documentation.
