Job summary

KION Group is seeking a Mobile Robotics Software Lead (ROS2 / NextGen) to drive foundational software for mobile robotic systems across the Americas region. You will mentor engineers, steer simulation and platform tooling, and shape the technical roadmap while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role is hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days optional remote) located in Holland / Grand Rapids, MI, with a competitive base pay range and global opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Software/Robotics or related field (required).
• Ph.D. or equivalent is a plus.
• 8+ years of professional C++ and robotics experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop core C++ software for embedded onboard systems, simulation and deployment.
• Lead and mentor a globally distributed team for the Americas region.
• Define engineering best practices and contribute to the technical roadmap.
