Job summary

Owner.com is a remote-first, global company helping independent restaurants succeed online. The Senior Engineer will own mobile distribution at scale across thousands of apps, shaping the Guest App platform and release automation.

You will improve developer experience, build guardrails, and collaborate with product, design, and launch teams to deliver reliable releases. This role is 100% remote in the US or Canada.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production applications with end-to-end release ownership.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and React Native for mobile apps.
• Proven track record owning mobile app distribution and release workflows.
• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Ability to raise release reliability and operational visibility.
• Collaborates effectively with product, design, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Improve mobile developer experience from local setup to CI/CD across the Guest App.
• Build guardrails, tooling, and automation for thousands of apps.
• Increase release reliability and app freshness on App Store/Play Store.
• Strengthen observability and operational workflows for rapid issue diagnosis.
• Leverage AI tools to automate release and distribution processes at scale.
• Partner with the internal launch team to streamline workflows and feedback.
• Contribute to the Guest App codebase where platform work intersects.
• Own cross-cutting technical initiatives from design to production.
• Provide thoughtful code reviews and help grow the engineering team.
