Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems. You will mentor technicians, document service activities, and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction on-site.

You will diagnose complex control issues, provide field proposals for upgrades, and support sales with technical recommendations while ensuring safety standards and quality workmanship across projects.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
• Consult with customers and provide field proposals for retrofits or enhancements; assist sales with technical recommendations.
• Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution; report issues to management and coordinate with subcontractors.
