Job summary

3Pillar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Contractor) to join a remote-first global team and help craft client code that is efficient, scalable, and of the highest quality.

You will diagnose mobile performance issues in an existing Ionic app, stabilize code, and optimize the WebView-to-native bridge while collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to deliver durable solutions. Strong English required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Ionic framework and mobile apps.
• Experience diagnosing mobile performance issues (startup time, memory leaks, UI jank).
• Experience with a production Ionic/Capacitor app is preferred.
• Knowledge of native build and app store release processes (iOS/Android).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Craft client code that is efficient, testable, scalable, secure, and high quality.
• Diagnose and resolve mobile performance issues in an existing Ionic app.
• Triage and stabilize an existing codebase and ship durable fixes.
• Debug and optimize the WebView-to-native bridge in Ionic/Capacitor apps.
• Provide status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project tools.
