Job summary

Hiya is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to ship features across iOS and Android apps, owning releases and elevating engineering standards. The role emphasizes Kotlin Multiplatform, deep Android expertise, and collaboration with product and design to ship high-quality, scalable mobile experiences.

We value engineers who can span platforms, contribute to backend changes, and drive automation. This is a hybrid role with in-office work in Seattle three days per week.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Kotlin Multiplatform experience in production applications.
• Production code shipped outside your primary platform in the last two years, on iOS, backend, or web.
• Experience carrying a significant architecture or platform change through a mobile team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the iOS and Android apps, including relevant backend changes.
• Own releases from cut to store on both platforms and extend release automation.
• Build tests, instrumentation, and gates to maintain high quality with minimal manual QA.
• Drive architecture decisions on mobile codebases and promote adoption.
• Collaborate with product and design to decide what to build and when.
• Leverage coding agents to improve tools, guardrails, and workflows.
