Job summary

Via, the leading transportation technology platform, is seeking a Senior Mobile Cross‑Platform Engineer in NYC. You will own the rider mobile experience—from booking and accounts to core infrastructure—across Android, iOS, and Flutter, collaborating with design, backend, and product teams.

You will work primarily in Flutter while contributing native Android and iOS code when needed, pragmatic about architecture choices, and dedicated to performance, reliability, and scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile development experience.
• Flutter experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience across cross-platform and native Android/iOS codebases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality rider apps across platforms.
• Own development and continuous improvement of Via's rider mobile apps for booking, accounts, and journeys.
• Develop primarily in Flutter, with targeted native work for Android and iOS when appropriate.
• Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services and optimize performance and memory usage.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and mentor other engineers.
