Job summary

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to own the native iOS/Android BLE connectivity for EEG headbands and wearables. You will ensure robust data capture across phones, OS versions, and environments, partnering with the Devices team on firmware interfaces and delivering clean, testable native modules for React Native.

The role emphasizes reliability, edge-case handling, and collaboration in a remote-friendly, async culture with in-person hubs in Boston and New York.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android).
• Hands-on BLE device integration in production apps (pairing, reconnection, background operation, throughput).
• Experience with sensor data from wearables or health devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of native iOS and Android BLE SDKs.
• Own connectivity reliability, data throughput, and battery performance across devices and OS versions.
• Collaborate with Devices team on firmware interfaces and GATT profiles.
• Expose device capabilities to React Native apps via native modules.
• Own device connectivity telemetry and diagnose failure modes using user feedback.
• Help shape the roadmap and technical direction of the mobile platform.
