Job summary

Cox Automotive in USA (NextGear Capital) seeks a Senior Mobile Engineer to advance mobile experiences for customers and internal teams. You’ll work with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and fellow mobile developers to deliver high-quality native apps that solve business problems.

You will leverage AI-assisted workflows across the software lifecycle, emphasising code quality, security, and performance while growing technical depth and business understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience.
• AI-Augmented mindset and deliberate use of AI coding assistants across the SDLC.
• Mobile ecosystem awareness with REST APIs and backend service experience.
• Proficient in native mobile development with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose or SwiftUI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI agents to build native mobile software across the SDLC.
• Contribute to prompt engineering and share tool usage insights.
• Participate in design and development discussions for mobile apps.
• Assist with feature estimation including technical inputs and timelines.
• Develop and implement unit and system tests with secure coding practices.
• Provide technical support and enhancements for mobile apps and systems.
• Use observability tools to monitor app health and diagnose issues.
• Align mobile design and development with architectural standards (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose).
• Work with backend APIs and data contracts impacting mobile behavior.
• Document best practices and repeatable processes for the team.
