Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is hiring a seasoned Android developer to design, build, and maintain native Android apps. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features and ship updates with an emphasis on clean code and performance.

The role requires 6+ years of native mobile experience, strong Kotlin/Java proficiency, and deep knowledge of Android tooling, testing, and architecture patterns. Plano, TX on‑site role with opportunities to influence product direction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of native mobile app development experience.
• Mandatory native Android development with cross-platform frameworks knowledge (iOS, Flutter, React Native) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and Java.
• Strong experience with Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and UI design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third‑party libraries.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD practices, and clean architecture patterns (MVC, MVP, MVVM, etc).
• Experience building Android libraries/SDKs via Gradle/Maven.

Requirements

• 6+ years knowledge in Native mobile app development.
• Mandatory Native Android development, knowing cross platform frameworks including but not limited to iOS, Flutter, React Native, multiplatform is a plus.
• In depth understanding of programming languages like Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose
• Strong experience building and maintaining Android libraries via Gradle/Maven
• Working Knowledge of Unit and Android Tests.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Android UI design principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Solid understanding of mobile app design patterns like - MVC, MVP, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, MVVM pattern, Clean Architecture, Viper etc.
• Strong experience collaborating with designers and UX experts to create great user experiences.
• Building Android Modules, SDKs, Framework is plus.
