Job summary

Schneider in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician to perform on-site maintenance for trucks, containers and trailers. You’ll be supplied with a service truck and serve as the on-site maintenance representative, traveling to customer sites as needed.

This full-time role requires a diesel tech background or 2+ years of experience, a valid CDL and DOT medical card, welding and computer systems skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or 2+ years diesel technician experience.
• Welding skills and computer systems experience.
• Valid driver's license with DMV record standards.
• Valid DOT medical card or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to work independently and provide own tools within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes, electrical repairs, major accident repairs and engine repairs.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Ensure equipment availability and make repair decisions.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Schedule: Full time; Wednesday - Friday and every other weekend, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

• Mainly work outside the shop as a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician in Chambersburg, PA.
• Perform all minor and major repairs on trucks, containers and trailers.
• Be supplied with a service truck and serve as the on-site maintenance representative.
