Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Sr Mobile Diesel Tech to join Cox Fleet, delivering maintenance and DOT inspections for a nationwide fleet. You’ll perform PMs on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field environment and use iOS tooling to document work and manage RO data.

Weekly pay, incentives, and home service truck privileges accompany a supportive training path. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with related field experience and DOT certification readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 5 years in related field; alternative combos with certifications may apply.
• OEM training and certifications preferred and able to complete DOT background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Diagnose and repair truck equipment including electrical systems, engine electronics, and transmissions.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues; document findings and RO photos using company iOS device.
• Manage service truck inventory and local vendors; maintain safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with management for repair approvals and PO numbers; operate in compliance with DOT/OSHA rules.
