Job summary

The Home Depot in Austin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive technical leadership for our mobile shopping app. You will own the team’s architectural decisions, partner with the Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer, and deliver scalable, high‑quality mobile solutions.

You will mentor engineers, promote engineering best practices, and collaborate with platform teams to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability across our mobile products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in mobile or cross‑platform domains.
• Experience leading architecture discussions and technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, test, deploy, and maintain mobile software with end-to-end ownership.
• Lead architecture discussions and establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, SRE, and other teams to ship end-to-end experiences.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the engineering bar through reviews and guidance.
