Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to serve as chief technical architect for the Mobile App Renovation Strategy (MARS). You will define the future of a high-performance, modular, and intelligent mobile ecosystem and lead cross-functional teams to build the next-generation architecture.

You will champion AI-first software development, establish the AI Tiger Team, and influence how engineering uses AI throughout the SDLC, reporting to senior technology leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Lean development environments.
• 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio level Principal meetings to maintain alignment and share knowledge; architect foundational code elements reusable across a portfolio.
• Mentor, coach and conduct reviews; attract and retain top talent; provide leadership to teams.
• Define technology solutions with Dist. Engineer; remove roadblocks; drive roadmaps and innovation.
• Be escalation point for high-priority issues; support project/product teams; evangelize tooling usage.
