Job summary

Unity is seeking a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a standalone consumer rewards app for iOS and Android. You will define the tech stack, state management, and app architecture, delivering a highly gamified storefront on top of Unity’s backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive performance, and ensure secure, scalable event tracking while coordinating with ML and backend teams on a fast-moving release cycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building native mobile apps at scale.
• Experience with gamification, loyalty, or fintech wallet features.
• Deep understanding of modern mobile architectures and memory/performance profiling.
• Experience with asynchronous data streams and real-time connections.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility and micro-interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture for the mobile client (iOS/Android).
• Build engaging gamified UI/UX components and features.
• Integrate the app with Unity back-end event pipelines and ML models.
• Design robust on-device state management for currencies and ledgers.
• Collaborate with ML/backend teams on secure, tamper-proof event tracking.
• Mentor senior mobile engineers and define CI/CD/release pipelines.
