Job summary

Ring is seeking a Senior Builder to own and evolve core user experiences in the Ring app. You will shape foundational surfaces, ensuring reliability and fast performance, while collaborating with product, UX, backend, and platform teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive AI-powered development practices, and raise the bar for how Ring builds mobile software across iOS and Android, including cross‑platform considerations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 5+ years of deep native iOS or Android development, or equivalent cross-platform depth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of foundational user experiences used daily by millions.
• Own architecture, quality, and long-term health of surfaces, balancing velocity, reliability and scale.
• Champion AI-powered development practices, including AI-assisted debugging and automated testing.
• Set the bar for performance, reliability, and craft on high-trust experiences.
• Mentor and grow engineers through reviews, pairing, and technical leadership.
• Drive operational excellence: observability, on-call response, and CI/CD improvements.
