Job summary

Ring team, part of Amazon, is seeking an Android Software Development Engineer to build world‑class mobile apps integrated with Ring devices. You will design, implement, and refine features for millions of users, collaborating with a cross‑functional team while embracing AI-enabled development practices.

You will contribute to architecture, performance, and reliability across the Ring mobile platform, using Kotlin and Android Studio to deliver high‑quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 3+ years of Android development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of experience using generative AI tools to deliver features.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features for Ring mobile applications
• Improve mobile application architecture
• Develop features using Android Studio, Kotlin, AI, and a variety of other tooling
• Collaborate with a cross-functional agile team to create, and deliver new features
• Ensure operational excellence by resolving application issues and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Use AI to deliver features efficiently - this can include creating features, unit tests, generate code, documents, tickets, resolve defects, optimize code, and much more
