Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Phased-Array Antenna Design Engineer to architect and validate high-performance antennas for space-based communications. You will own the design, EM simulations, prototyping, testing, and integration across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-throughput in-space antenna systems.

The role requires strong EM theory background, hands-on RF testing, and experience with mmWave customers. Space-focused programs and security clearances preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years RF antenna design or M.S. with 5+ years RF antenna design.
• Experience designing antenna elements and antenna-in-package for microwave/mmWave phased-array.
• Strong understanding of EM theory and phased arrays.
• Proven leadership from concept to validation of antennas/hardware.
• Experience with 3D EM tools (HFSS/CST/TICRA).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of antennas, reflectors, feeds, radiating elements for Q-, V-, E-band.
• Run EM simulations to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with RFIC/MMIC, T/R module, DSP, mechanical, thermal teams.
• Lead prototype fabrication, RF testing, environmental testing.
• Manage full antenna hardware lifecycle from concept to qualification.
• Produce design analyses, test reports, and design reviews.
