Volkswagen Financial Services seeks a senior Lead MLOps Engineer to own the AWS-based AI platform, shape multi-year strategy, and drive hands-on implementation. You will steer architecture, security, observability, and governance while coding alongside teams to accelerate adoption.

You will collaborate with Data, AI Platform, Risk, and Governance to embed controls and scale enterprise ML workloads for VWFS and its brands. Hybrid Reston/Remote work options apply.

Qualifications

• This role requires 12-15+ years in software/data/ml engineering.
• 7+ years in MLOps, ML platform engineering, or productionizing ML systems at enterprise scale.
• 5-7 years extracting and analyzing data from large sources.
• Top technical individual contributor on an ML platform with architectural influence.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year technical strategy and hands-on AWS-based MLOps implementation.
• Lead horizon-scanning across MLOps, GenAI, and agentic AI ecosystems.
• Design and refine CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and rollback patterns for ML/GenAI.
• Define enterprise MLOps standards, architectures, and golden paths.
• Lead as senior hands-on technical leader, coding alongside teams.
• Partner with Governance, Risk, and Compliance to enforce model risk controls.
