Job summary

PathAI seeks a Senior Software Engineer (MLOps) to design, implement, and scale machine learning infrastructure powering enterprise AI systems. You will architect infrastructure in AWS and on-premises, drive MLOps choices, mentor engineers, and ensure reliable, secure deployments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade frameworks or applications.
• Strong software engineering skills in multi-language systems and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Solid understanding of DevOps and infrastructure-as-code (Helm, Terraform).
• Experience owning development platforms and serving internal customers.
• Proficiency in Python with exposure to additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build infrastructure to support ML application development and deployment in AWS and on-premises.
• Lead architectural discussions for our MLOps suite to meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Drive initiatives by researching and implementing new MLOps tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with MLEs, data scientists, product engineering, and infrastructure teams to bridge research and production.
• Optimize ML workflows for reproducible deployment and monitoring.
• Promote engineering excellence through coding standards, design reviews, and mentoring.
• Automate ML operations including CI/CD for ML models, feature pipelines, and deployment strategies using Kubernetes, Airflow, and orchestration tools.
