Job summary

Xenon7 is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own production ML systems, deployment, and scalable MLOps for a life sciences client. You will collaborate with process engineers, life science researchers, and platform engineers to deliver low-latency ML solutions at enterprise scale.

The role requires hands-on expertise in MLOps, model deployment, and API integration, along with strong leadership in a hybrid onsite setting in Indianapolis.

Qualifications

• Senior-level proficiency (10-20+ years) in software engineering, MLOps, and production ML deployment.
• Experience across non-standard domains including chemical/bioprocess or manufacturing ML is a plus.
• Ability to work 3 days onsite per week in Indianapolis area and hold US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain production-grade MLOps pipelines and infrastructure.
• Operationalize ML models with API integrations and OT/industrial systems.
• Build low-latency microservices for real-time inference at scale.
• Lead cross-functional teams to align ML architecture with business goals.
