Expedia Group is seeking a senior ML-focused scientist to define the ML roadmap for CRM personalization and lead production systems at scale. You will collaborate with marketing, analytics, and engineering to deliver impact through data-driven optimization and responsible experimentation.

You will mentor scientists, advance AI tooling adoption, and drive reproducible, rigorous analysis across large-scale campaigns for travelers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in OR/Math/Stats/CS or related field.
• 6+ years (Master’s) or 4+ years (PhD) applying ML to real-world problems.
• Proficiency across core ML methods with depth in at least one area.
• Strong experimentation and statistics fundamentals: designing rigorous experiments.
• Fluency in Python, SQL, and distributed data processing (Spark/Databricks).
• Leader of cross-functional ML projects with clear communication.

Responsabilités

• Define the ML science roadmap with milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Build and own production ML systems from problem framing to deployment.
• Partner with marketing, analytics, and engineering for reliable systems.
• Evolve experimentation and measurement to reduce uncertainty in ML decisions.
• Tell the data story with clear findings and visualizations for technical and business audiences.
• Mentor scientists, promote best practices, and drive standardization.
