This role emphasizes translating research into production systems, influencing technical direction, and mentoring other scientists.

You will design and deploy ML methods for contextual traveler experiences, collaborating with engineers and product teams to ensure scalable, measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of ML solutions from development to production within a product or technical domain.
• Strong foundation in ML methods, statistics, experimentation, and data‑driven decision making; hands‑on coding in scientific/production environments.
• Experience deploying ML solutions with cross‑functional partners, focusing on scalable model development and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and apply ML solutions to personalization, ranking, retrieval, and related problems.
• Lead end‑to‑end scientific work from problem formulation to production‑ready capabilities; measure impact.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to integrate ML into services and workflows.
• Exercise technical judgment to improve model performance, reliability, and operational quality.
• Safely integrate AI/ML solutions and contribute to the team with mentoring and reusable approaches.
